WheelMates Console versions in H1 2027
Steam PC already shipped. PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch remain planned for the first half of 2027.
WheelMates on Steam PC and Steam Deck is released. That sentence has to lead this page because console trailers keep confusing store dates. Firevolt shipped the two-player RC co-op on 1 September 2026. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch editions are planned for the first half of 2027. Those three SKUs are the upcoming ones. The PC build is not a preview of a later “real” version.
The video on this page is PS5 gameplay footage. It is useful for camera feel and room scale. It is not a sign that Steam owners are missing a console-only campaign. Professor Everett Bloom’s house, the gadgets, Friend’s Pass, and the no-solo rule are the same design on every platform Firevolt has described.

What is planned for H1 2027
Firevolt has named PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch as follow-up platforms in the first half of 2027. That is a plan, not a day-and-hour stamp. This wiki will not invent a month. When a store page locks a date, it will land here as a new paragraph, not as a rumor table.
Earlier press sometimes mentioned PS5 and Xbox in 2026 without Switch. Current studio messaging includes Switch in the same H1 2027 window. Treat Switch as planned, not as a surprise leak, and treat 2026 console dates in old articles as outdated.
Expect the same two-player rule on consoles. A Switch SKU does not magically add a solo story. Local split-screen is the feature that makes a living-room version make sense; online co-op should follow the PC idea that one copy plus a guest pass is the honest way to sell a mandatory duo. Until Firevolt publishes console store bullets, do not assume Friend’s Pass, Remote Play, or achievement counts are byte-for-byte identical to Steam.
How to watch console footage without mixing calendars
PS5 capture is still useful for PC players. The house is the house. Magnetic wheels, rope swing, and magnet grab do not change names on Sony hardware. If a video shows DualSense icons, remember the PC demo already added those icons for people who plug a DualSense into Steam.
If you only have a console today, you are waiting on H1 2027. Wishlist or follow the official channels on the Links hub. If you have a PC that meets spec, you can play now with co-op setup. A Deck is a valid way to sit on a couch in 2026 without a Switch build.
Cross-play, saves, and other things not announced
Firevolt has not published a cross-play matrix between Steam and future console SKUs. Do not promise your friend that a PS5 car will join a Steam car in 2027 until the studio says so. Steam Cloud already exists on PC; console save migration is unknown. Achievement lists on consoles may differ from the 21 Steam achievements.
Controllers on PC already work. You do not need to wait for a PS5 SKU to use a DualSense on Steam. Keyboard remains a second-class split-screen citizen because player two’s rebinds are awkward; that problem is a PC local issue, not a reason to delay buying the Steam version.
